Latest News

We just finished our World Premiere at the AmDocs film festival in Palm Springs on March 26, 2026. The response was amazing and beyond our expectations. We are overwhelmed and nearly speechless.

After the premiere, AmDocs offered a rare encore presentation, which allowed even more people to watch the film.

About The Film

Karen and Tony in the desert with Warren

Karen & Tony Barone are two artists you will never forget! They inspire you to see art in a different light. Everything - from their car, clothes and even food - is art. The Barones are on a personal mission to entertain the world through their art.

It also a love story about an inspirational and very creative couple.

Something to Entertain You, an independent documentary by Jon and Mary Orlin, takes you on a colorful and magical journey through the art and lives of this husband and wife team. For decades, they have been creating unique, clever and memorable art in various forms and mediums.

Their sculptural works are instantly recognizable. While they are known throughout the Palm Springs, California area for dozens of larger than life aluminum sculptures of rabbits, dogs and superheroes that dot the Coachella Valley, there is MUCH more to their compelling and joyful story.

Director’s Statement

The directors started this project out of curiosity about the artists who made giant, colorful sculptures. Who are these artists and how do they think and work?

After a 6 year filmmaking journey, we gained a better understanding of the Barones. But we also discovered a story with bigger themes about love, reinvention, creativity, female empowerment, and living life on your own terms without fear.

What People Are Saying

Everyone knows I’m very partial to documentaries.

As a desert resident, I’m aware of the incredible talents of the Barones.

Jon and Mary Orlin’s new documentary about them captures what they do best.

The doc caused me to question myself asking if I knew that about them.

The doc is informative, fun, and made me appreciate the talents of the Barones even more.

What a team (Karen and Tony)!

A story of two amazing artists that live their art.

Even being friends of Karen and Tony I had no idea the depth and the extent of their lives as artist in this country and beyond.

Truly inspirational!
