We are excited to announce a new screening date for Something To Entertain You in Palm Springs during the first year of the XOXO Palm Springs Arts and Culture Celebration. The film will be presented Friday, June 19th at 6pm at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. This is the same 500-seat theater where the film premiered. Buy Tickets on the PS Cultural Center website and look for the 6pm button near the bottom of that page to purchase your ticket.
The film will be followed with a Q&A with directors Mary and Jon Orlin and artists Karen and Tony Barone. The Q&A will be moderated by Fashion Week El Paseo Creative Director and Producer Susan Stein and will include audience questions.
You’ve seen their giant animal sculptures all around Coachella Valley. What’s the story behind the artist couple, Karen and Tony Barone, who make them? That question inspired the local filmmakers Mary and Jon Orlin on a six-year journey to make the documentary “Something To Entertain You.” The film premiered at the AmDocs Film Festival and received an overwhelming response. Critics are calling the movie a “must-see”, “a beautiful love story” that “leaves you with a deeper appreciation for the art that surrounds us.”
The screening is part of the AmDocs Showcase, featuring some of the favorite films from the AmDocs Film Festival.
